Tonight, Azaryah made "rainbow" cookies for his AWANA Cubbies' class. His memory verse this week is "...all Your words are true..." and the story was about Noah and the Ark. God put a rainbow in the sky as a sympbol of His promise never to flood the entire earth again...Azaryah was SOOOO excited about his cookies and sharing them with his friends ;-)

Lanesfield Historical Schoolhouse
Friday, we went on a fieldtrip to a historical schoolhouse. The children were given a tour of the musuem, experienced what it would have been like to do laundry and hang it on a clothes line, bake biscuits, and gather eggs all before heading to school. After the chores, the children were taken into the schoolhouse and taught spelling and math by a woman dressed in prairie clothes...She instructed them just as if they were living in this historical time. She was strict but fun ;-)

The Schoolhouse...
Recess...
The Mamas...
Three of the Mamas joined the lessons at the schoolhouse while the rest of us watched our little ones in the picnic area...
Cahrrie, Martha, Jennie, Kelly, and Kim

Same Mamas...Just with me in the picture ;-)

This is Cahrrie's first year of homeschooling and her first fieldtrip with our group...We had such a good time!!!

Lunch Time...
While the big kiddos enjoyed their lessons in the schoolhouse and had recess, the little ones enjoyed some fun in the sun. Poor Azaryah, he was the only little boy...Don't worry, he found plenty of ways to torment the little girls ;-)

Everyone brought sack lunches for lunchtime...Lots of smiles, laughter, and fellowship!!!

It was a WONDERFUL day!!!
