Lanesfield Historical Schoolhouse
Friday, we went on a fieldtrip to a historical schoolhouse. The children were given a tour of the musuem, experienced what it would have been like to do laundry and hang it on a clothes line, bake biscuits, and gather eggs all before heading to school. After the chores, the children were taken into the schoolhouse and taught spelling and math by a woman dressed in prairie clothes...She instructed them just as if they were living in this historical time. She was strict but fun ;-)

The Mamas...
Three of the Mamas joined the lessons at the schoolhouse while the rest of us watched our little ones in the picnic area...

This is Cahrrie's first year of homeschooling and her first fieldtrip with our group...We had such a good time!!!

Lunch Time...
While the big kiddos enjoyed their lessons in the schoolhouse and had recess, the little ones enjoyed some fun in the sun. Poor Azaryah, he was the only little boy...Don't worry, he found plenty of ways to torment the little girls ;-)

Everyone brought sack lunches for lunchtime...Lots of smiles, laughter, and fellowship!!!

It was a WONDERFUL day!!!

Girl Scout Skating Party
Sunday evening, the girls got to skate at their Girl Scout Skating Party...Glen went with them and had a blast!!!

He is such a good Daddy!!! The girls LOVED having him take them!!!

Glen spent the first few minutes helping the girls get used to the skates...

It did not take them long to catch on...

They enjoyed the Hokey Pokey and a few other games...Keziah even won the Limbo!!!

Harvest Fun in our Town
Every Harvest Day, our town hosts a parade of costumes...The children dress up and walk through downtown gathering candy from local stores. This year, Corbyn did not go because he and Glen were working in our neighbors' yard clearing away leaves, but Eden, Keziah, Azaryah, and I took off and enjoyed the morning.

Our town if a historical town and has LOTS of old homes and buildings...Most of the homes in town are historical. Our home is a restored, 80 year old, Cape Cod...

The courthouse and Veteran Monument...Gorgeous

Eden is a little mother hen...She held Azaryah's hand the entire morning making sure he did not get in the street ;-)

Baskets full and time to go home and rest before we go out again tonight!!!
